Some people have annual holidays far away in the sun. Some people have time share apartments in Madeira. Me, I have a day out in Builth. I must admit that by December, I've probably seen enough of the Royal Welsh Showground for one year and there were a few entries that were as fresh as the jokes from a christmas cracker, but this was also the first time I'd taken time out to watch the Cs all year, and there were some real quality animals put forward for Mrs Reed, Tyngwndwn to judge. Section C Champ was the colt foal Caebryn Endeavour (Llanwenarth Flash Jack x Parvadean Denise) (pictured above) bred and owned by Mrs Leyton, The colt coped well with the peculiar conditions that a hot marquee presents. Reserve went to the Section C yearling colt Hywi Tango, who looked as though he could have steamed round the ring all night. Judging of the Ds followed straight on this year, (no coloureds in between), and Mr Gant, Northwick had two huge foal classes to judge. Section D Champion was the Filly Foal Fronarth Miriam (Fronarth Welsh Magic x Fronarth Maria’s Pride) bred and owned by the Jones Family from the Fronarth Stud with reserve going to Julie Evans’ colt foal Haighmoor Victors Image. Section D champ,Fronarth Miriam, went reserve to the Section B yearling colt, Melau Montana (Eyarth Tayma x Moelview Crystal) in the Welsh Championship, judged by Mr Hendy from Raglan, with the Section B also winning Supreme Championship judged by Mr Bowen, the "vet from Ammanford" but he placed the Section C champ, Caebryn Endeavour as reserve supreme.
