Abergavenny Bayleaf Champion Section C Youngstock Exhibit 2008
2005 Filly (Parc Hebog x Rhyd-ddu Rosina)
Ooohee. What a fantastic start to the 2008 Royal Welsh Show. Great weather, the 6 youngstock classes were well attended, with the competitors and animals giving their all in the the bright sunshine. No showing off at the begining of the classes (walk only) so not too much high tail snorting, but the calibre of the stock could not be faulted and Mr Davies had his work cut out. Some lovely free moving animals, with both the winning yearlings looking impressive but it was the Parvadean Filly that pipped the Nebo Colt into reserve for the Champion Yearling. Overall Section C Youngstock Champion went to the three year old filly, Abergavenny Bayleaf with Reserve Youngstock going to the two year old filly, Donys Lili-Lon.
It will be a busy day tomorrow with Senior C classes, Junior D classes and all the Driving Classes to catch, so hopefully the weather will hold & I'll be fortunate enough to photograph the winning exhibits again.
